I'd like to introduce to you, for the first time... Mrs. ShayLynn O'Connor! Official now for 1 month and 1 day!!!
There is SSSSOOOOOOO much to tell about the wedding and the honeymoon, it overwhelms me... So I'm starting with day one of honeymoon. Wedding photo's to follow- at some point.
Steve and I rushed to leave after our oh-so-perfect-wedding to our glamorous European honeymoon... okay maybe it wasn't glamorous at all, since we camped every night and ate pasta and red sauce for the majority of the trip. But, we loved every second of it and got to see some spectacular sites!
We started the trip in Switzerland! The most beautiful place... Steve's good friend Scott and his wife Jennifer (who grew up there) were in Leysin. We stayed with them for a couple of nights. Leysin is a cute little village that is centered around skiing... Jennifer's dad owns a ski shop there. We did some hiking, dirt scooting, climbing, eating traditional Swiss meals, and a day trip to Chamonix with them. It was a great way to begin our trip.
One day with Scott, we took the gondola up to climb a via feratta route to the top of the Tour de Ai. It was an exciting climb up ladders and rungs as we clipped into the cables and made our way up the steep wall. Our shoes were slick from the muddy hike up which made the climbing a bit scary. I was the most scared, but ended up having fun.
We put these dirt scoots in the gondola so we could ride them down the mountain after the climb. Here is Scott and Steve checking out the mountain...
I may be smiling, but it's just for show
Steve nearing the end of the climb
The view from the top was foggy, but still amazing
The hike off the top was something you couldn't dream up... the swiss cows were mooing the their bells were ringing in the distance... the green hill sides, it was all just too beautiful!
We dirt scooted a ways down, and stopped at a hidden farm/ranch/chalet on the mountainside and had lunch... ham sandwiches and demi croute.
Great views while eating lunch
We got SO muddy dirt scooting the rest of the way down, it was entertaining.
That was the first day of our 3 week trip... Chamonix next!

I {heart} Bridal Showers
Tanya, Carrie and my Mom threw a beautiful bridal shower for me in Bancroft two weekends ago...(mom send pics). They did such a good job... yummy food, good presentation, and a fun quiz about Steve & I. All of the supportive ladies of Bancroft and surrounding areas came to support and I received some very nice kitchen items. Thanks to everyone who made the trip, and a special thanks to my sis's & Mom for making it so special.
On our drive home from Bancroft, we decided to pass through Stanley and check out Redfish. The beach we are getting married on is going to be beautiful with the mountains in the background. In 12 DAYS we'll be there again for the WEDDING! I'm SO EXCITED, but feeling the stress of the little tasks that i procrastinated until the end. 12 DAYS!
Then, this past Thursday I came home from work, walked into my house and saw Dara, Lindsey, Tess, & Shanah dressed in 70's Disco outfits, dancing to stay'n alive. The house was decorated to theme... it was a great idea, until I realized my costume included an afro wig, which by the way I rocked all night! We went out to Barbacoa after the 70's house party. Very fun night of surprises, thanks to my amazing girl friends.
Walking into the house to see the ladies dancing, SURPRISE!
"You can tell by the way I do my walk, I'm a women's man, no time to talk"
Fun night at Barbacoa, great food, great company
Opening some fun gifts, rock'n the fro.
The last few weeks have been full of excitement, so this weekend Steve and I had the cleaver idea to have a garage sale. It was a LOT of work, but we did ok.... $230... going into the Europe honeymoon fund.
Thanks again everyone for the parties, gifts, excitement.... 12 MORE DAYS!

Job, Graduation & Wedding
Steve was in Stanley a few weekends ago, skiing Mount Heyburn in the Sawtooths. He went to North Shore, where we will be getting married in 37 days. This is the picture he took, after busting through snow drifts to get to the beach...
Does that make any of you excited to come to the wedding!?
Personally this picture gets me itching to jump in and swim for my triathlon!
I graduate this Saturday!! My parents are on their way to Boise... and I cant wait to get that diploma in my hand and walk away from Boise State.... for now.
This semester I have completed 300 internship hours... I guess it paid off. Today I start with Physio Therapy working as a PT Assistant. Part time until after the wedding, but I couldn't be happier about it all!
Graduation pictures soon to come! :)

Engagement Pictures
It's been a little hectic lately... with less than 3 weeks until graduation and 54 days until the wedding! It's crunch time, baby!!
Steve and I went to Bend, OR (as posted about a while ago) to get our engagement pictures taken from my good friend Katy and also my fellow Boise State track mate... she's the best.
Here is a sampling of pictures, I do have one disclaimer though... We had been camping for 2 nights and I got ready in a camp ground for these pictures. Ok, two disclaimers... we also went skiing the day before and our whole faces minus our foreheads got burnt. Gotta love the ultimate fixer of problems; makeup!
We have our wedding blog up and running with details about the wedding and more photos if you'd like to check it out: stevenshay.blogspot.com

It's taking a long time to upload the pictures, so I only have patience to post three. :(

California!
Over spring break I decided that before Landon & Lina move to DC, I wanted to visit them in San Jose...
We spent most our time in beautiful Santa Cruz doing some:
picnicing on the beach, followed by throwing the disc.
We did some quick and cold swimming in the ocean,
some hiking in a Buddhist Meditation Forest,
some greenbelt biking,
some JJ's Blues listening,
and some awesome mnt biking in the Soquel Demo Forest!
I had a such a fun time getting to spend time with my Bro and Lina, two of my best friends!

Track Days
Steve Connor, a Boise local photographer, always went to Boise State athletic events and took pictures.... Today he sent me the link to track and field pictures from 2004, one of the years when I was jumping for Boise State. It was fun to look back, and thought I'd share the memories.

This picture of me high jumping is still hanging in the BSU Student Union building on a plaque... i want to go tear it down.

Any way, fun to look back in the day... Spring break is next week!! I'm heading to San Fransisco!!

Happy Blogging!
Looks like I've been too busy for blogging... This week I finished 7 of my 16 credits this semester.... big sigh of relief!
Eight more weeks until graduation! One hundred days until our wedding!
I haven't been in the picture taking mood, so I am posting the best of the worse!
We were able to ski 4 or 5 times in the last couple weeks, Brundage and Bogus both got some good snow... here are a couple pics from our recent ski trips.
Tired after a big ski day.
Brundage parking lot after a great day of powder!
Hope everyone is doing well! Spring is just around the corner!!

And we're excited!!
I've never blogged about our cat, so i thought Kirby deserved some blog time...
He gets to go get neutered tonight! I just broke the news to him before i took this picture, it's obvious he's very excited!

Winter Activities
I had a fantastic holiday season... no blogging... but the same ol' traditions were done... family was visited with a Christmas celebration... and i worked a lot.
Here are a few activities i have been up to... Steve and I spent a few days in McCall skiing, watching hockey, and playing shuffle board.
Then a beautiful sunny day up at Bogus skate skiing.
5 more days until my last semester of school starts and Obama is president!!!
Happy, happy, happy days!
